Sunshine Health and Rehab, LLC is currently seeking a full time Nursing Manager, RN to oversee the high quality of care for our 84–bed skilled nursing facility with a team of other Nurse Managers to be supervised by a Director of Nursing.

Education and Experience:


Minimum of three years of related RN management experience and/or training in institutional services and knowledge of supervision and personnel management with a mental health background preferred.

Job Responsibilities

 

Service:

 

The Nursing Manager will closely monitor the status of all residents on assigned units. They will work with the Director of Nursing to assure adequate staffing. The Nursing Manager will also participate in the admissions and discharge process.

 

People:

The Nursing Manager will participate in interviews and recruitment efforts for new staff. They will complete review sessions with new hires including a 90-day post hire job reviews on all new staff. The Nursing Manager will perform routine rounding with staff and complete annual performance evaluations.

Quality:

The Nursing Manager will monitor PCC dashboard daily and takes action as necessary for all alerts per nursing policy. They will also assure care plans are reviewed and updated as needed and per facility scheduled review dates. The Nursing Manager will also attend QAA meetings and provide reports as indicated.

Financial:

The Nursing Manager must demonstrate an understanding of census numbers and the impact on facility operations. They will also work with the Director of Nursing to staff according to budgeted hours per patient day (HPPD).

Growth:

The Nursing Manager will assure that assigned staff attend in-services provided by the facility. They will also assure staff are using Relias both as assigned and encourages on demand usage.

Community:

The Nursing Manager will attend at least one community event per year representing Sunshine Heath & Rehab.
